Sari Matikka

Sari is a Finnish interior architect SIO as well as a product designer. She graduated from Lahti University of Applied Sciences (BA, interior architecture) in 2010 and Kymenlaakso University of Applied Sciences (BA, industrial designer) in 2000.

Sari works on different design related projects including furniture, accessories, lamps, innovation, device and interior design. As a designer, she is inspired by new materials, ecological living and innovative manufacturing techniques.

Her designs stands for simplicity, functionality and innovative products for everyday use. She stays curious, designs, imagines and keeps simple lines.

“Games and Heartbeats”, 2020

We won second place in the competition for the Tampere Casino with our proposal “Games and Heartbeats”. This idea, experience and interior design contests was held by Veikkaus for the upcoming Casino in Kansi Areena Tampere. The team consist of five persons.

Muru bench, 2018

Muru bench was shortlisted as one of the Finnish nominees (“Sustainable chair”) for the Nordic Design Competition organised by the Danish Design Centre.
